Convention Prep

So next week is Midwinter Gaming Convention in Milwaukee, WI.  It’s a really great convention run by one of my friends.  If you love gaming, be it table top, LARP, Magic the Gathering, or whatnot, Midwinter is the convention for you.  Seriously, it feels like this thing has everything.

I will be there with Dystopia Rising: Wisconsin, hosting one character creation session and two actual mods.  (I had better be, I own the dang chapter!)  If you have ever been interested in Post-Apocalyptic, survival situations, building a community or beating people with padded weapons I highly suggest you come check it out!  It’s amazingly fun and it will be a great time to try out the game without having to commit to an entire weekend, which is what the game usually runs.

Needless to say this week and next are going to be insanely hectic for me.  I have next week’s comic laid out already, I just need to add the dialogue and post it.  Hopefully I’ll have that done this weekend.  However, don’t be surprised if there is no blog post next Thursday.  I’ll more than likely be pulling my hair out by the roots trying to herd cats.

It’s fun you see.

Dystopia Rising: Wisconsin’s first official game is February 5th – 7th so that’s close on Midwinter’s heels.  At some point they say I will get into the groove of things and have less pulling-my-hair-out-by-the-roots moments and I am really looking forward to that.  Until then, I will just enjoy flexing my organizing muscles and getting everything prepped for the first big push.

It will certainly be a learning process, but it’s one I’m really looking forward to.

I hope your 2016 is filled with amazing new things!
